London Corporate College Refund Policy

 

It is strongly recommended that you read and understand the Refund Policy before you apply for any programme at London Corporate College.

 

  1. Students applying for any LCC course are required to pay a non refundable registration fee of £350 and a minimum of 60% of the course/tuition fee in order to obtain an (Enrolment Letter) Or (CAS Statement/Visa Letter) Or (Offer Letter). The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of the course.
  2. All fees exclude amounts payable to the professional bodies for student registration and examination entries. Books and photocopies of any study materials are also excluded from the fees.
  3. LCC reserves the right to terminate any student's enrolment at any time for non-payment of fees. No fees will be refunded for any student who falls into this category.
  4. It is the student's responsibility to apply for the Visa immediately after receiving CAS letter from LCC without delay and this must be at least three months before the commencement of the course the student has applied for.
  5. If you apply for the visa after more than two weeks of the CAS issue date, it becomes not the liability of the College and you become liable and must pay the full fee if you are refused Visa for whatever the reason(s).
  6. In the event of Visa refusal, the student is required to contact LCC and seek advices regarding (1) the transfer part of fees paid for the next available intake. Please note, this option can only be used once or (2) the refund of the tuition fees, under specific conditions listed below, to which LCC will retain a non refundable registration fee of £350 to cover administrative costs. The College will require the original Visa refusal letters, original appeal letters issued by the British High Commission or British Embassy or Home Office, original Enrolment Letters issued by LCC and copy of passport with refusal stamp. Refunds will only be made if requested in writing with the completion of Refund Application Form with the necessary supporting documents at least two weeks before the commencement of the course. Please be aware the refund process can take up to 60 days.
  7. LCC will only refund the account of an individual that we initially received the fees from. If the student wishes to authorize someone to collect the payment on his/her behalf; we will require this in writing with an authorization letter and a valid ID from the authorized person.
  8. No refund will be given to students in the following circumstances:

    Failure to return the original Letters & Documentsissued by LCC, original Visa refusal letters, appeal letters issued by the British High Commission or British Embassy or Home Office and copy of passport with refusal stamp at least two weeks before the commencement of the course (published date).

    In the case of submission of incomplete documentation(s) to the British High Commission or British Embassy or Home Office. Such as Acadamic Certificates, Bank Statements, and any other required Documents for the purpose of Visa.

    In the event of a cancellation due to a change in your personal circumstances; any such unforeseen circumstances that the college has no power over are also not the liability of the College and no refund will be given.

    If you are asked to leave the country by the UK Authorities or if you leave the UK during the course period without consultation or a covering letter from the College and are subsequently refused re-entry.

    If the disruption in your studies is due to a criminal conviction, court proceedings or a litigation involving yourself.

    If you have been refused a UK Entry Clearance at any British High Commission or British Embassy or Home Office due to submission of any fake or forged documents or incomplete or invalid documents.

    Where a student has obtained an Admission Letter from LCC and then decides not to follow or complete his/her course.

    If student's appeal against a decision of Refused UK Entry Clearance is in process and decision is pending; upon the decision, if we do not receive the original Appeal Decision Letter within two weeks of the decision date.

    If you are refused Tier 4 (General) Student entry clearance under paragraph 245ZV of the immigration rules where you are required to claim 10 points for maintenance. No further CAS is liable to be issued under this section.

    LCC bears no responsibility in such discontinuation or cancellation of programmes due to the actions of external agencies, course providers or an awarding body. The responsibility of carrying out necessary research and ascertaining the nature or details of the Course Providers and their degrees and awards lies entirely on the students.

  9. The College has adopted the concept of Equal Opportunities whole-heartedly; therefore it makes every effort to promote it in and out of its premises. The applications of students from any backgrounds are treated equally and fairly. It is imperative that the applicants disclose their special needs clearly in the application so that the Admissions Office can examine the extent to which the College is capable of providing the necessary support.
  10. By signing our Application Form you are giving LCC the right to obtain your personal data from the British High Commission to which you applied.
  11. By signing the application form and agreeing to our terms and conditions, you agree to abide by the LCC student code of conduct and must adhere to the Student Handbook, which is available from the admin office.
  12. All international students must attend a minimum of 16 hours of lectures and tutorials per week in order to meet their student Visa requirements. Students must familiarise themselves and comply with UKBA regulations at all times and must inform the college immediately of any change in their immigration status or contact details. Students are advised that it is compulsory to have a minimum attendance of 90% or they will be reported to the UKBA.
  13. If a student is absent from college for 10 or more days, a reminder will be issued by telephone or email. If no response is received a second reminder will be issued in writing. No further reminders will be issued thereafter and the student's details will be passed to the Home Office upon their failure to attend.
  14. Students failing to pay their fees according to the agreed instalment plans for more than 10 working days will have their admission suspended. For re-admission, the student would have to pay the FULL balance of the tuition fees and a £150 administrative charge.
  15. Overseas students who have been granted a student Visa must comply with the UKBA Immigration Rules. Please note that LCC and its staff members have no jurisdiction to overrule these regulations.
  16. We also reserve the right to suspend or dismiss any student with no refund of fees in the event of serious misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance/progress.
  17. Failure to appear at the agreed starting date without written notice will mean forfeiture of fees and the College notifying the home office.
  18. The times of the courses are subject to change & LCC reserves the right to change course timetables at any given time. The college prospectus is correct at the time of printing but is subject to change at any time.
  19. All students at the time of enrolment must be at least 18 years of age.
  20. The terms of this agreement shall be governed by the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts under English Law of all matters arising.
